As a winner in an open tender procedure “AiEmTechnoDron” consortium (with partners IMS and Technologica in it) signed a contract with DG “Civil Aviation Administration” at the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport for development of an electronic system for registering UAV operators, conducting training and exams for remotely piloted pilots, providing geo-spatial orientation and electronic submission of documents.
The Directorate General “Civil Aviation Administration” performs the functions of a civil aviation authority pursuant to the Civil Aviation Act and in accordance with international treaties in the field of civil aviation to which the Republic of Bulgaria is a party and in accordance with the relevant EU legislation.
In order to conduct flights with unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and in order to ensure the safety of citizens, national security, aviation, privacy and environmental protection, a web-based platform for the registration of UAS operators, conducting training and exams for UAS pilots, and geospatial information will be developed and deployed.
